I'm alive!
I have come to a very important conclusion. Time with my sweet babies is more important than blogging. Yep. That's right- there are more important things than sitting in front of a computer screen- though I know everyone who reads this is just enthralled with my life. I will give you a short update to appease myself and my avid readers... Then I'll just go from where we are! No more stressing over playing catch-up. No more sitting down to blog, feeling overwhelmed and shutting the computer because I can't possibly catch up with a newborn and a very active toddler. So here goes- May through mid-June.
May started out with a VERY big event in the Alt household: Bailey's first pigtails!!
We continued working on getting her to sleep in her new big girl bed. Some days were easy, some days naptime went more like this:
We spent lots of time playing outside with Daddy in the evenings.
And lots of snuggle time with Mommy and Baby Girl :)
We attempted a beach trip with some friends! It was pretty windy and a bit chilly... but it was still the beach!
Bailey HATED the sand and didn't want anything to do with it. She got so mad when her feet touched the icky stuff! Can't say I blame her.
Little Miss Grouch was NOT a happy camper.
Eventually I got her out of her chair and having a little fun.
Picture with Mommy!
Although it doesn't look like it, Bailey likes the pool MUCH better!
35 weeks and ready to SWIM!!! Gotta cool off somehow :)
Memorial Day and 36 Week shot with my favorite girlie :)
On June 3rd Bailey went to Nursery for the first time! She loved it and went in without a single peep! About 20 minutes in, her teacher came to me and I was worried she wasn't doing well. In reality- she handed me her binky and said "She didn't want it and I didn't want to lose it. She's doing GREAT!" So proud of my princess! I wanted to get a photo of her on her big day- but she was too tuckered out. She was asleep walking out of the church in Daddy's arms!
Right before Daphne was born, Bailey got Hand, Foot & Mouth! It was an awful virus that had to run it's course. It came with an icky fever, lots of crankiness, and some horrible sores/blisters all over the back of her throat. Amazingly- her hands and feet were fine! Not even a rash. She was so miserable and wouldn't eat, so she got her first Popsicle and LOVED it!
Father's Day 2012 was our last day as a family of three! We stayed home since I'd been in the hospital in "early labor" for 8 hours the day before and had lots of Daddy time! He got a little present from us since he'd just gotten a brand new set of golf clubs.
Stay tuned for maternity photos and Daphne's birth story!

Big Belly... Big Belly, Big Belly, Big Belly :)
So far this pregnancy has been fairly different than Bailey's. The morning sickness was worse, I started getting huge much quicker. But in good news, I've gained less weight, haven't swollen, and the blood pressure has been great! Running after a toddler keeps me busy! We are anxious to meet our little girl!
Here is the Big Belly at 30 weeks :)
And 32 Weeks! Looks like I need to get some new photos since I'm almost 38 weeks!!
I'm not sure how much Bailey realizes about the new baby coming into our family. Truthfully, I think she might be pretty clueless. But she sure is enjoying playing with her new things!
She looks so BIG and precious!! I can't believe a teeny little newborn is going to be using this tub in a few short weeks!
April Flashback
Some photos just for fun! :)
Cutie Patootie typing to her buddies :)
Little Miss is becoming SUPER independent. She does not like to let you feed her or do much of anything for her. If she can do it herself (well or not) she will do it! Hence Miss Yogurt Face here :)
Playing with Isabelle :)
Every night Bailey helps Daddy take Betty on a walk. On Betty's birthday she decided she wanted an extra walk!
Poor girl is quickly running out of room on my lap! And look at all of that hair!
Miss Sassy Pants got a new bathing suit and had to try it on.
"Hello, I'd like to order 500 cases of fruit snacks and a new deluxe stroller. Stat!"
We have a CLIMBER! If you leave her alone for more than sixty seconds she is climbing up on top of something. The kitchen table, the tv stand, or... the WINDOW!!!
We went on a playdate to the Children's Museum and Bailey loved it! She was apprehensive about the Carousel, but loved the Apple Tree exhibit.
One morning in April I heard Bailey fussing a bunch during naptime. I went in and found THIS!!!! It was time for a big girl bed!!
She wasn't sure at first, but is doing GREAT!
Her bed before we rearranged her room :)
I found my collection of Beanie Babies in Dad's attic, and Bailey has LOVED playing with all of them.
Discovering Tigger :)

The Easter Bunny Came!
The doctor told me to "take it easy". As impossible as that is with a toddler, I'm doing my best. Which means LOTS of couch time. So I'm finally going to update the blog. Something about being pregnant with a toddler just makes time slip right on by!
To start off our Easter fun we went to an egg hunt at our good friends Heidi & Monte's house!
She wasn't quite sure at first, usually we don't let her pick things up out of the grass.
Eventually she got the idea...
And had a blast hunting eggs :)
She was so unbelievably excited that she actually got to eat some candy!
The Easter Bunny left her a great basket that she loved going through.
She had so much fun going through it in the morning!
Mmm Jelly Beans!
I couldn't tear her away from the candy!
After church, we went over the the Alt's for dinner. Bailey played with her cousin, some of her toys, ate LOTS more candy and had an Easter Egg Hunt at Grammy & Grampa's.
The day after Easter I took Bailey outside to snap a couple of pretty Easter pictures. It was worth a shot :) Haha. She HATES Easter Grass (so does her mama!) I will be saving my money next year.
I have to admit that on Easter Sunday I teared up a bit thinking about my two little girls in matching Easter dresses next year. :)
