February

February 1st started nice and warm! We went to the playground with Daddy and Betty :)







After Bailey almost picked up a cigarette butt, we decided we'd only be going to the park from now on and won't be playing at the apartment complex playground lol.

More bucket time was necessary...


For the super bowl we went to our friends Heather and Chris's house. Us prego mamas decided to take a walk with the babies- but Bailey was not dressed for a walk in the cold (the warm park days disappeared!). So we borrowed some of Christopher's clothes. Now we know what it will look like if we ever have a boy! (Pretty DANG cute!!)





For Valentine's Day, Matt and I got to go on our first DATE since July!!! It was long overdue and Bailey had lots of fun at the sitters while we went out to dinner and got ice cream. Yumm. A prego woman's dream date!

I love watching Bailey learn new skills. But her newest skill is not my favorite.

CLIMBING!!! It scares the mess out of me! Her latest feat was climbing the coffee table! After she figured out how to jump from the table to the couch- I decided it was time for it to go. But not until I'd caught a few funny photos first :)





The table has since found a new home at the end of our bed :)


Unfortunately the pretty park weather did not last all the way through February. Virginia just cannot decided whether it wanted to be spring or not! Bailey got to play in her first snow that she could walk in and she HATED it!!

But she looked so darn cute all bundled up :)

I've been trying to do fun activities with Bailey to help her learn and expand her activities. I got her about 950 stickers for $1 at the dollar store- SCORE! She decided to decorate herself :)







PS. They PlayDoh did NOT go over well. I think we'll have to wait a few more months until she doesn't want to eat it.

Bailey decided that Baby Girl (yes, she's still nameless) wanted to be pretty too!



Out of nowhere- it warmed up again! So we ventured to the park! No icky cigarette butts!



Diapered bums in jeggings? Quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen!!

Matt and I have decided that we are in BIG trouble. Bailey is only 14 months here and already social networking and chatting on the phone at same time. By the time she's 3 she'll be teaching us how to use the next piece of technology!!


Here's another example of my random **try to get Bailey to do more activities**. She loved it!! The rice and chick peas kept her busy for a good hour, and I got to do dishes and fold laundry! SCORE! :)

Baby #2 is a

GIRL!!!



I SHOULD have taken a belly picture the day of our big ultrasound. But something about having a toddler this go round has made things a little harder to accomplish. So instead- here is 18w4d (1 week before the ultrasound) and 21w4d.





And for comparison- 20 weeks pregnant with Bailey!



Definitely feeling Large and in Charge this go round!

We are so excited to meet our baby girl in June, and especially excited for Bailey to have a baby sister :)

Christmas In January

In January, Matt's sister Jennifer flew into town for our family Christmas and our cousin Heidi's wedding. The pictures are all self-explanatory, so ENJOY!













Heidi's Wedding was absolutely beautiful. She looked stunning, and miraculously Bailey was quiet through most of the ceremony! We only had to go into the quiet room for the last 15 minutes or so. She got to meet and play with her (second?) cousin Anden.

Poor sweet girl... a 2 pm wedding followed by a reception right afterward does not give much time for napping! She was so exhausted by the time the dancing started I thought she might fall asleep right there!



Bailey mostly left our Christmas tree at home alone, the tree at the reception on the other hand- was a whole other story! But it made for some precious pictures!



Heidi looked stunning, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful.



Bailey loved all of the attention she got dancing around and smiling at everyone :)



We stayed the night in Warrenton, and afterwards met up for lunch with my Mommy Friend Sarah and her daughter Cameron! The girls are only 3 weeks apart and adore each other!





We also ate at Cafe Rio- YUMMMM!!!!! :)

January Fun

January was a looooong month! I was still feeling pretty sick, and just trying to keep ourselves busy since we were finding out if Baby #2 will be a BOY or GIRL in February!!! Matt and I discovered a new kind of Ben & Jerry's...

Cinnamon Buns!!! It is to DIE for! Bailey begged for some. She says, "Mama if I smile as cute as I possibly can, can I puuuuh-lease have some??"



Instead she got to play with Daddy.



Even after playing with Daddy she STILL had to beg for a treat. We were "mean" parents and didn't allow her to have any soda, but her little "asking" face is just too darn cute not to snap a picture of!



There were a few gorgeous days in January and we took a trip to the park :)





Bailey decided her new favorite place to be was in her toy bucket! It wasn't good enough to just play with the toys at the top, she wanted the little toys that fell to the bottom!
And yes, we're the parents that grab the camera before we helped her out of the bucket!





The next day she tried again, and managed this time :) She played happily for a good 45 minutes!





My least favorite part of January was Bailey's first emergency room visit :(
It was terrifying. We put Bailey to bed after a normal day and she woke up about 2 hours later throwing up everywhere :(. We stripped and remade the bed, gave her some Pedialyte and put her back down. We then repeated that vicious cycle about 4x until we just kept her up for a few hours, and she kept getting sick over and over. Eventually she actually started blacking out from the constant vomiting, so we rushed her to the ER. After a Zofran, her first Popsicle and a wet diaper we got to come home. You'd never know how sick poor girlie was!



In January we attempted Bailey's first ponytail and pigtails... as you can see, I don't think we're quite ready for those yet! We'll stick to headbands for now.





The second week of January we finally had Christmas with the Alt's. (Post coming up...) Bailey got lots of fun toys, including a bucket of Mega Blocks a new table. She loves her table and sits at it every chance she gets. And she loves to sit in her block bucket, for some reason. I couldn't get her out of it for three days!

Playdates :)

One of the things that I am loving about Bailey getting older and being more mobile is PLAYDATES!!! I love getting together with other mommies and letting our kiddos play.

After Christmas Bailey and I went to the Children's Museum with our friend's Heather and Christopher. Heather is pregnant too, and only 4 days behind me! So we love getting together, watching our big babies play and talking about our little growing nuggets :)





When I was pregnant with Bailey I stumbled on a message board on WhatToExpect.com. From the message board (thousands of women due in December 2010) I ended up finding a group of 25 INCREDIBLE women. Right after Christmas I was finally able to get together with three of these women and their precious little munchkins! It was so fun to put 'real' faces with their online faces and snuggle their sweet babies that I have 'known' since they were just the size of blueberries.








Seeing all of the girls side by side was amazing! They are all so different, different sizes, different stages, and different personalities- but they're all three weeks apart! Amazing group of women, wonderful 'date'. I can't wait to do it again soon!
