Bath Time!!

Miss Bailey's cord fell off before she was a week old!

I was not expecting that. Truth be told- I bawled like a baby!

Maybe it was the hormones... but I felt like my little baby was growing up already :(

We waited a few more days, and then gave her a real bath! She looooves her baths!

Isabelle loves her cousin Bailey, so when it was bathtime and Isabelle was visiting- we decided to toss them in together!

Isabelle hates having water poured over her head. She REALLY freaks out about it. So we decided to make a deal... if she would allow us to rinse her hair- we would let her help wash Bailey. See her rubbing her hands together- full of soap!

It went great- until she decided it was time to rinse her off and poured a HUGE cup of water right in her face! Whoops.

Luckily she didn't mind too much,

But I don't think poor Bailey liked sharing her bath!

To The Doctor We Go!

We took Little Miss Bailey to the doctor a week after she came home.

We bundled her all up in and headed out the door!

We celebrated Bailey's one week birthday by having her pictures taken!!

Maddy Egbert did an AMAZING job on the pictures, just like she did with out maternity ones!

We couldn't be any happier!

I Stink

I am a bad blogger.

It has something to do with this darling little girl.

She gives me this look- I call it the "why are you not playing with me" face.

And I just can't say no.

So hopefully one day soon I will have some time (haha) to catch up on what is going on in the Alt household. Extra time? I can't tell you how much I LOOOOVE this little girl!

First Day Home!

Pregnancy is quite an interesting thing. You spend 10 months preparing for this little baby that is going to be coming into your life. You enjoy feeling the little kicks and try to look past all of the nasty symptoms that sneak up on you.

Then you go into the hospital and deliver. (Not an easy task mind you.)

All of the sudden- you are handed a squirming, wiggling tiny purple human.

And the world stops. Everything changes in an instant. Where my world revolved around myself, my hubby, my job... I am now completely anchored to this planet by my little girl. I have a new reason for living, all 6lbs 13oz of her.

Bringing her home was absolutely terrifying! It is so scary to have this tiny infant who completely relies on you! There is no more 'nurse' button to press when you have no idea what you're doing! But all in all... as first time parents I think we managed just fine!

Our first day at home was a success!! Our first night was a little rough, but that's to be expected! Haha. (Notice the three different outfits?) Apparently new babies make lots of messes. Lots of spit up here, a piddle accident there... She is my daughter! At least we have tons of cute things to put her in!


More to come tomorrow (including Christmas!!) it's time to try to get some sleep!

Bad Blogger...

Apologies for the lack of posting, I'm a bad blogger I know. I think it has something to do with the gorgeous baby girl that is taking up ALL of my time. Partially because I can't stop staring at her. Also partially because the second I do stop staring at her and put her down- a screaming fit ensues. I am trying to take the time to play catch up before I have to go back to work on Monday (WAAAAHHHH!!!). Sorry for the multiple posts that are going to show up on your dashboard. I promise most of them will have cute pictures of Bailey. ENJOY!
