You Have Stolen My Heart

If anyone had told me a few years ago where I would be sitting on June 4, 2011 I wouldn't have believed a word of it. It was such a journey to get to where we are today. There have been many tears shed, and prayers prayed... but it has been an experience I will always treasure. It all started with a choice.

I made the choice to watch General Conference. Not a big choice- or something out of the ordinary. But it changed our lives. It led us to read the Book of Mormon together and for Matt to come to church, and the rest is explained here.

I don't think I will ever forget the memories from that day- especially the way that I felt.

Sweet Bailey slept through the entire Sealing. She looked like a little angel all in white. After the ceremony- she woke up and looked up at the Sealer. I've never seen her smile so big! She knew she was in the right place, and she knew she was close to Heaven and looking at a man of God.

We are so blessed to be an eternal family!

**Whoops** Edited a date in this post and bumped it to the top. Now I don't know how to put it back lol.

Miss Personality

This week started out a little rough. Poor Bailey is cutting four molars at once and has been pretty darn cranky. So we had a few mornings with lots of cartoons and teddy bear snuggles :)

That and some Tylenol seemed to help a bit. Teething bites.

She has a habit of disappearing on me :) I end up wandering around the house hunting her down and listening for the giggles. This is where I found her on Monday...

One of the most fun things about being a mom and watching my baby grow up is seeing her little personality start to develop. While doing some spring cleaning, Bailey found a little summer hat from last year, (0-3 months and still fits!!) She wore it all day long and refused to take it off!

Photobucket

Every time the hat fell off, she brought it back to me to put back on her little head. It was precious to see her communicating and doing something just because she wanted to.

She also developed a taste for chocolate pudding :)

PS. Do you see the HAIR?!?! We're finally getting some hair here people!! It is a miracle :)

We're glad to have Daddy home for a few days and are looking forward to enjoying conference! Happy weekend <3

Big Girl!

Every now and then I have moments when I look at Bailey and wonder where the heck my baby went.

Sometimes I still see this little girl...

Photobucket

Who couldn't sit up by herself and giggled hysterically every time she ate pureed bananas.

But then I blink, rub my eyes and look again and I see this!

Photobucket

My tiny little girl isn't so itty bitty anymore! She eats chicken nuggets and juice boxes. She runs around the park and waves hi and bye. She is growing up before my eyes and sometimes I just cannot believe how big she is!

Prego Update

I suppose it's time for a pregnancy update! I am 26 weeks pregnant! Gosh it feels like the time is just flying by. Only 14 weeks left (max!) until we meet our sweet baby girl. I think we may have settled on a name, but we're keeping it a surprise! We thought it would be more fun that way. Plus we won't have to hear junk from people who don't like it. Who cares? It's not their name is it? I digress...

So far this pregnancy has been similar to Bailey's, but different at the same time. I have definitely gotten bigger much quicker! The morning sickness was the same, and lasted about he same amount of time. My body in general is hurting a bit more this go round, and I'm having some sciatic nerve pain- which I never experienced with Bailey. But, since I just went through pregnancy not too long ago (the girls will be 18 months apart, Bailey was 9 months old when I got pregnant with Sprout), my body remembers what it's doing all too well and is falling back into rhythm 'beautifully'.

24 Weeks with Bailey :)

Alright guys... time for a HUGE pat on the back!!! I'm officially caught up!!!

Smoothie Thief

I am finally understanding a lot of things my parents told me all the time when I was a kid. Like why they wouldn't share their drinks with us. I thought it was so MEAN!!! And now I get it... backwash = disgusting. Alas, my smoothie still got stolen the other afternoon at the grocery store. And she was just sooo CUTE I couldn't argue with that sweet face.

Photobucket

I did try to get it back...

Photobucket

My mistake... Apparently Finders Keepers :)

Spring Time!!

I'm sure it's not a secret... I CANNOT get enough of my sweet girl. She is such a joy to be with every day. And more than anything I am so lucky and grateful that I get to be home with her. I love watching her learn to do new things. And I can't get enough of this sweet smile!

Photobucket

She now knows to smile when she sees the camera... it's PRECIOUS! It is the biggest, cheesiest grin and I just want to smooch those cheeks and laugh every time I see her do it!

One of my favorite things about having a daughter is getting to dress her in fun outfits, hairbows, etc. I never though I'd be excited about diapers... but do you see these cute things?!?!

Photobucket

They still get stinky- which was disappointing lol. But they are soooo dang cute!

It doesn't matter what I take from her- she will STILL find something to climb on. It's just a matter of time before girlie ends up in the ER. **Knock on wood**

Photobucket

It is looking like the warm weather is here to stay- YIPEE!!! We've been taking advantage of all of the Daddy time :) Going to lunch, playing outside, and lots of time at the park. 78 degrees in March? Yes please!!

I'm not sure if she was examining her new sandals or her shadow :)

Photobucket

Family lunch date...

"Mommy if I smile REALLY big, can I PPPPUUUUUUH-LLEEEEAASE have a french fry?"

Photobucket

Dude... this is not a french fry.

Photobucket

DROOL... Baby sandals!!!

Miss Sass striking a pose... we are in TROUBLE!

The Usual Adventures...

Apparently moving the coffee table did not cure the climbing problem in our house. It just gave Bailey a new challenge!!

Photobucket

Yes that is Bailey climbing on top of the speaker. **Insert Heart Attack**

(And yes, that is also Jersey Shore on in the background- courtesy of MATT!!!! He finds it hilarious. I find him watching it hilarious, so it works.)

The end of February into the first week of March Matt was working on the other side of town, so he stayed with his parents. 5 minute drive or 50 minute drive + tolls. It made sense! While he was gone Betty decided to let her true colors show.

She knocked down the gate into the kitchen, spread trash everywhere, ate a dozen chocolate chip cookies AND an entire box of Bailey's washable crayons. I was too crazed to take a picture of the destruction... so you'll just have to take my word for it. Two days later apparently the crayons didn't agree with her. I took her out, and then left with Bailey for StoryTime. I came back to a house full of pee and rainbow colored dog turds. Joy.

Needless to say- we got a CRATE the next day. For a few days it just stayed in the living room since it was a bit heavy for me to be moving around. Apparently Bailey and Isabelle thought it was the coolest place to play!

Photobucket

The night Matt was supposed to come home- he got hurt at work. He was trying to push something and popped a double hernia! The ER doctor was a moron, so we had to set up a second opinion and he was put out of work until he could have surgery to repair it. On the down side- he wasn't working and was in pain. On the up side, he's covered by worker's comp! So he's at home with us, and getting paid! So we went out on a lunch date for Chinese. Bailey wasn't a fan of the food... but seemed to enjoy being out with Mommy and Daddy on a week day!
